I was checking my email for some updates from Battlefield 3 Beta, and guess what I found.
I haven't seen this kind of email for a REALLY LONG TIME. The image is screaming, "JOHN, GET YO AZZ BACK TO GE, BITCH!". Kay, I get the message. That's a hell lot of cash stuff for a revival package. The goodness of having hiatuses in games. *smirks and pose like a boss*
I'll return to Granado Espada, but I'm not going to be all out, hardcore and trying to be powerful and shit. This time, I have a project in mind.. The revival package totally saved my life. I wanted to train a pair of pistol wielders for raid soloing. Still thinking which NPC to train though, I'm thinking between Musketeer, Brunie or Gavin. I'm gonna take my time to beef up these characters..
Dear IAH, I greatly appreciate the revival package sent to me, but in order for me to resume paying for GP, I wish to see promotions like, "Buy 2x Sacred Chaos Requiem Passes and get 3 Hrin's Liquor for free" or something like that. I'll gladly purchase some GP if that's the case.
I still fucking hate HCOF and PPL though. According to the IAHed blog, there are some kind of Korean investigation companies who are against mini-game-gambling in MMOs. I hope this would make IAH revise on what they've done for the past few years and actually make the game last longer not through gambling mini games. This year, many MMORPGs closed down because of fucked up cash shops and communities.
Anyway. Remember.
I'm nobody, until I succeed in my project in Granado Espada.
On other news, Battlefield 3 Open Beta released yesterday, and it's open to all. Download it from the Origin client from EA.
Well, I haven't been playing Dragon Nest lately. I took over 3 hours to redownload Granado Espada, and then encountered an .ipf file problem. I raged and uninstalled the game, and then saw a post of the solution in the website. I'm like, "Fuck it..". Recently, I was playing Rusty Hearts, another MMO brawler from Perfect World Entertainment.. I reached the level cap in Rusty Hearts.. What's with online brawlers and their ridiculously low level caps? First was Dragon Nest, which has been stagnant at Lv. 24 for a month now, and then Rusty Hearts with the cap at Lv. 25.
My friends are asking me to farm ancient equipments in Dragon Nest with them.. I always refused. It was because the ancient equipments aren't that epic at all. I'd much rather wait for the level cap increase and get the Lv. 32+ stuff. Enhancing ancients is such a bitch too, having to use both Rough Topazes and Diamonds. Rough Diamonds are a pain in the ass to get. Hell, I'd rather try and max upgrade a War Priest equipment (Lv. 23 Greens) than try and get an Ancient to max! I have about 400-500 gold now, saving it for end-game equipments. In the forums, there are people who tried to upgrade a Lv. 24 blue equipment to max, failed several times, and spent countless Euros on the game. I'm not one who would question their insanity, but if that's how they wanna spend their money, so be it. And now that Epic stuff are released, is he gonna spend twice (or thrice) as much Euros than before?
In the Cherry Credits forums, lately, there has been threads of racism, about how Pinoys are generalised as a bunch of rude people, and many other pointless threads. You know, maybe it's just the SEA region. I never really enjoyed a SEA game, apart from Granado Espada because I had friends in-game, but I can't afford a spend another cent in the game (Previously, before I quit, everytime I spent money in the game, I feel the game's gonna fall someday).
I played 12sky and 12sky2 for almost 2 years (Both MAYN and AeriaGames versions). The community isn't that bad, a few minor arguments that evolve into major ones, but nothing as fucked up as Dragon Nest. I also played Atlantica Online for a year, the community was awesome (The game features revolves around helping people, so it's expected, more games should have features like Atlantica), I made a guild with online friends I found in-game, and soon after it became one of the better guilds in the game. Unfortunately, most of them couldn't be active after a year of playing, and we had to disband. I quitted the game as soon as it was merging with Nexon (Just a bad company). Sad to say that, even though I'm Asian, I tend to enjoy North American/European games better, because of the community.
Reading Cherry Credits threads makes me wanna choke someone.. There was that certain thread that was a wall of complaints (Not a wall of text, it was nicely paragraphed). The first post was an annoying, "Cool story, bro" picture. Hello, the person typed all of that to discuss, not to see a fucking picture of something irrelevant. And another person who stated his reasons to quit the game, and the posters were like, "Quit the game, one less person bla bla bla" or "Boring? Quit the game then". HOW CLICHE IS THE CHERRY CREDITS COMMUNITY?
And I don't find leveling 8 characters to Lv. 24 fun. (Go fuck yourself, I chose Priest, and I'm sticking with it).
There's a certain kind of thread I hate in the CC forums.
"This **** thread is for you" or "The **** thread is for people who ****".
What makes it even more facepalming is that the poster created the account an hour earlier (You know what I mean).
This is what I feel whenever I think of forum douchebags.
Geez. Back to Single Player games. Until I receive my Diablo 3 Beta *crosses fingers* <- Diablo 2 fan for a lifetime.
It's really awesome, I tell you. Some uber-enhanced Dragon Nest screenshots coming up! The good thing about high end graphic cards is that you can force Anisotropic Filtering (This makes details and objects look better at a distance) and Anti-aliasing (Reduces jagged edges on graphics) via the Control Panel. I might try forcing some graphic enhancements in Granado Espada.
Here's an enhanced Dragon Nest screenshot.
Talking about Dragon Nest.. It's boring now. I did went back to Granado Espada for awhile in the dead of the night.. Played with my good old team of Gracielo, Adelina and the Scout. It was fun at first.. I was delighted to read that some roulette chests have updated loot tables. Hmmm. I don't know, man. I still don't feel like going back to GE..
About Dragon Nest.. The recently released PvP feature got me pumped at first.. But was overshadowed by imbalances and cocky little kids. I was having fun, owning some Archers and Paladins with my Priest.. Until Sword Masters came. In Respawn (It's a mode in Dragon Nest, it's pretty much the same as Team Deathmatch), my Priest gets constantly raped by Warriors, especially Sword Masters. It just seems that Sword Masters are able to make my Priest flinch with every basic attack they do, while my basic attacks don't do jack shit at all. I also hate it when my poor Priest gets gangbanged by the enemy team and then no one comes to help at all. Look below.
Of course, Priests aren't PvP lords. In fact, I heard that the PvP lords are the Paladins and Warriors (Both SM and Merc). This is why I got bored of Dragon Nest. The level cap hasn't been increased YET. I don't feel like doing Minotaur Nests with the public (The community is insanely immature). Thank goodness for the new PC, or else I don't know what to do with my holidays.. I wanted to level a Paladin to 24, but I found it to be tedious, because I already have a Lv. 24 Priest, plus a Lv. 17 Mercenary and Lv. 16 Acrobat. I only want the level cap increase please, Cherry Credits, unlock the cap fast!
Plans for returning to GE? Still unsure. I also want to make it clear to my friends that I do not give nor lend my accounts. I do this because I'm quite paranoid about people handling my accounts. It always happens to me. Once someone touched or meddled the account, I don't feel like playing that particular game anymore. Even I, myself, don't understand why I get this kind of feeling. I can give or lend items, but not the account.
I reached the current maxed level (24) in Dragon Nest SEA a few weeks ago, but I didn't bother updating.. Here is a screenshot of my awesome Priest in Springwood!
This will be my endgame gear for now, I don't find crafting White Lion Galero/Cuffs/Shoes worth due to their minimal bonus stat. The Shirt and Trousers on the other hand have 20 and 17 INT bonuses respectively. The White Lion Shield was a lucky find on the market, it was +8 and Hidden Potentials = 5.8% Magic Attack with 3.50% INT increase, all these for only 70 Gold. It was a really, really lucky find. A +10 War Priest Wand is sufficient enough to last me till the next Epic weapon update. Crafting a White Lion Wand just isn't worth it due to again, minimal bonuses.
I was trying to reach 20k HP but only managed 15k, almost 16k HP. This is without cash shop gear, which increases stats.
So far, my life in Dragon Nest was fun. There were a lot of "WTF" moments with my classmates, really hilarious ones. The community wasn't that great though. I feel that it was full of whiny people who could care less and demand more. What most people fail to realise is that the game is in Open Beta state, it is still in a state for bug fixing. Daily maintenances are required to keep the game smooth going for players. The lack of appreciation and gratitude for the technicians fixing and conducting maintenances in the game really disgusted me. Most of the people (Forumers) I see either whine about how they got dc-ed in dungeons or how they were enhancing an item halfway or any other bullshit.
Ugh well, I could care less about what other people think. The fact that Cherry Credits are always aware of the exploits and bugs that are happening in-game gives me the sense of assurance that I won't be playing with those kind of players. The recent Bunny exploit in the game rendered exploiters permanently banned. That's the kind of management I'd like to see. I have to say it, Granado Espada's major exploit, which is botting, has yet to be fixed. Not to mention, the only form of justice which is the Report function is also broken (From what I heard during my absence from GE). Rion/Gehenna are definitely FUBAR.
I also had several major facepalm moments when I saw the recent GE events..
Giving 2x ~ 3x EXP is what IAH should've given during their 4th Anniversary to show their gratitude for players (Who can't afford the Anniversary dinner at Fort *something*). 31st of August is reaching near and the Facebook likes hasn't moved to 20k (Let alone 25k) since the start of the event. This is such a facepalm event, I can't even stop giggling at this.. Unless there's a certain hardcore person who wants the EXP increase so badly and suddenly comes up with 20k Facebook accounts to like the page, I don't think I'll see the EXP increase happening at all. Geezus..
Really, just seeing the [Cash Shop] beside the title already made me cringe. Lorenza, she feels kinda missing in action though. She hardly updates her blog (Her blogging activity is like monthly or 3 months interval, it's so boring, compared to how Hrin updates hers weekly or daily), she hardly comes to forums (Ignoring her birthday post at August, her last post was at June), Xanxus was the only moderator roaming in the forums currently. She's probably having a hiatus I guess. Also, I can conclude that Lorenza knows nuts about the game. The event stated that she requested for a special set of items to be sold at a discounted price. The pack includes a 7 days HPS, 7 days Field Manual (WTF?), 7 days SCR (COOL!) and 3x 7 days Rose Wings (Okay I guess). This wasn't what bugged me. What bugged me was the statement below the description..
"This is the perfect leveling package for a whole week.."
(I totally facepalmed to this)
No, fuck no. If you played GE for years, you know you should make it a habit (And make your money worth) to enter premium dungeons with a COMBAT Manual, not a Field Manual. Even though SCR drops great stuff like Veteran Accessories and MA/LG, they don't drop very often, even with a Field Manual activated. Hell, sometimes I get more of those without a Field Manual then I do with one. Still, I have to admit, the package is really good, because aside from the almost-useless Field Manual, the 7 days HPS/SCR/Rose Wings are definitely worth more than 25k GP. If the Combat Manual 7 days was included, this will be a perfect pack for everyone in the game, and will definitely sell like hotcakes. I don't understand why the Field Manual was included.. *shrugs*
~
After roaming around in the forums, I saw that there was a new Grace outfit. C'mon man.. I'd much rather have a costume that of Velvet Assassin or a sniper outfit (She's a Flintlocker afterall) or a Beret-wearing soldier. But a bikini outfit, ran out of design ideas much? C'mon man. Really speechless. The White Vent is Grace's best looking costume for sure. 2nd is the Le Saggitaire Optimiste. I'm still hating that those cool looking weapons can't be crafted and only can be bought with real money.. Geez.
Old news is old. But I can't wait for a new Granado Espada update.. Especially the ones with the Unlimited Shot and another with the Wanted Shot stances. About time I brought my Musketeer and Brunie together!
Disappointing thing is that, the pose looks exactly like the Sight Shot stance (Except the angle of the wielded pistol is a little higher?). Also, I looked at Lisa's future exclusive Expert stance and it looks like Raid Assault. Hmm, IMC running out of ideas? Hopefully the animation of Wanted Shot isn't too bad. Time to show some love to Brunie, uhmm, when the time comes.
Sigh, I wished that IAH would hold some in-game events, preferably free ones, after all I spent quite a lot in the game (Up to a point where I could've used the money for making a new gaming rig), but there isn't any in-game events lately. All I've been seeing are HCOF updates, even with the launch of PPL, the event page still seems a little dead. Another thing I find kinda pathetic is players asking for compensation (Like 2x EXP) after some server problems arose. It pretty much intensifies further the extreme lack of events in Granado Espada.
On to other stuff, Dragon Nest SEA is going into Open Beta at 16th August! 9 more days left! Oh my God, I can't wait to train my Priest again.. After lurking around Youtube and several gaming sites, it seems the Dragon Nest took online gaming to another level! Famous Youtube commentators are playing the game and also received excellent reviews. I'm happy for the developers of Dragon Nest! Now I hope that Cherry Credits isn't gonna make Dragon Nest boring.. *crosses fingers*
It's been 4 weeks since I last stopped playing Granado Espada. Looking at the IAH website, there aren't much interesting events lately. Majority are cash shop updates related to HCOF. There were gamer glasses for sale in HCOF, and to be honest, that accessory looked really useless. Description said that all it does is sharpen the game's graphics and also protects your eyes from the long hours of gaming. It doesn't look like it would cater to gamers who wear glasses (It might look stupid wearing or trying to wear both glasses together). Anyway, currently, both glasses are sold out in HCOF. Happy gaming to those wearers.
I'm more pumped and anticipated for the opening of Dragon Nest SEA. I played the Closed Beta of it and I was very, very satisfied. The satisfaction of defeating countless amount of monsters and using skills of my favorite element, which was lightning. Yes, you guessed it. I'm a Priest, going on Saint for my main character.
The good thing about the Priest in Dragon Nest is that it's not totally a full support class. Nuh-uh. Unlike other games where full support classes get verbally abused by other picky players, in Dragon Nest, Priests or Clerics as a whole, are the main tanking class. Other people might prefer Warriors as tankers, but Clerics hold a shield, and have blocking capabilities so in my opinion, Clerics are tankers in Dragon Nest.
I love characters with shields. The last game I played which has incredible looking shields was Dekaron/2moons. Cabal's shields were okay too. Dragon Nest shields looks pretty good to be honest.
I'll be playing both a Priest and a Paladin, and will be juggling both characters. I'll reveal my IGN once Open Beta is released. See you in Dragon Nest Open Beta!
I also played the Closed Beta version of Rusty Hearts, which was more or less, a clone of Dragon Nest (Dungeon/quest Grindfests). The problem with Rusty Hearts was the camera, there's literally no freedom of camera movement at all. Skills were okay, not mind-blowing like Dragon Nest. To choose one game from both, Dragon Nest hands down, no doubt.
Plans for returning to Granado Espada? Currently none. Probably when I get tired of Dragon Nest or something. But I have plans to turn this blog from a GE blog, into a MMO-gaming blog, seeing as how I lost interest in Granado Espada.. It's sad yeah, but I can't doubt my feelings, right?
